Amadeus River Cruises is the ship brand of Lüftner Cruises, a family business in Innsbruck, Austria. Wolfgang and Martina Lüftner built their first ship, MS Amadeus, in 1997. Today the fleet sails the Danube, Rhine, Main, Moselle, Rhône, Saône and Seine, with most ships carrying about 140 to 168 guests.
Every cabin has an outside river view, from French-balcony or panorama-window cabins to suites with walk-out balconies. Fares include meals, wine and beer with lunch and dinner, onboard gratuities, WiFi and port fees. Shore excursions are sold separately, either one at a time or in discounted packages. Newer ships use hybrid engines to cut fuel use.
